from the individual mandate in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act found in 26 United States Code §5000A(d)(2)(B).

SimpleCare is a program of the Non-Profit organization the American Association of Patients and Providers, or the AAPP. As the largest patient/provider organization in the United States, SimpleCare is dedicated to returning a means of providing common sense, affordable, patient-driven healthcare to individuals and families across the US.
SimpleCare is Not Insurance, or a Discount Medical Plan.
Because both you the patient and your healthcare providers become members of the same mutual network, the AAPP, your licensed healthcare providers can now offer a fee schedule separate from the charges they may bill insurance companies. SimpleCare does not dictate the pricing or services offered by each provider, allowing each provider to practice their specialty as they see best for their patient or client's well-being.
SimpleCare is a perfect solution for members who are uninsured, have a high deductible, catastrophic insurance policy with an HSA (Health Savings Account) attached. Or, for those who belong to a Health Share Organization. You have insurance for unforeseen catastrophic events that we hope never occur. Why not pay a reasonable fee for the incidental stuff, like a sinus infection, a skin condition or minor mental health issues, as needed?
SimpleCare/AAPP patient members are their healthcare providers best patients, as they are paying in full at the time of service, we call this PIFITOS. That’s the way healthcare costs used to be handled before the insurance companies took over. Most providers find that they can charge 20-50% less than what is traditionally billed to insurance, as administrative fees and staff overhead are dramatically cut.
By joining SimpleCare/AAPP you will be provided access to a network of licensed healthcare providers in your area who have agreed to offer the lowest price possible on their services to SimpleCare/AAPP Patient Members. An annual individual membership is only $29, a household of up to 6 family members is $39. Most people save more than the membership fee off their first SimpleCare visit.
